  I have retained Ms. Ann N. Luu, Esquire, as my counsel since January 2024. She has expertly and professionally represented me in various and what seemed like never-ending legal issues with my ex-husband. From Motions to Modify Custody and Child Support, to Trespassing. When I decided to represent myself (pro se) in response to my ex's motion to modify child support, she didn't tell me I couldn't do it. She was available anytime I needed to ask her guidance and advice. Her support continued when I decided to file my own Motion to Show Cause, where after years of meticulous financial record keeping, the court ruled that he was in contempt and ordered him to pay 7 years of unreimbursed expenses! When Virginia updated the child support calculator in July 2025, Ms. Luu advised me on how to file a Motion to Modify Child Support despite receiving an order in May 2025. Ms. Luu knows the family court system in Fairfax County. When opposing counseling tried "bullying" me, Ms. Luu informed me of the correct process, what forms I needed to file, my rights in representing myself, and wrote the draft orders. I've had nothing but "Big Wins" with Ms. Luu and I highly recommend her!

  My divorce was messy and complicated. I had been fighting for divorce for over a year when I found KBD Law. After meeting with Ann Luu, I knew right away she was my advocate. She kept me informed every step of the way and she fought hard for me. Her sense of justice and caring was evident. She genuinely cared about how I would be affected by the outcome in my case.   Sean Kelly is by far one of the best attorneys I’ve ever met and retained. I highly recommend Sean Kelly to anyone who is looking to settle a domestic legal issue quickly, professionally and wants an attorney who is a strong advocate for you. The firm has fair billing practices and the office staff is polite and easy to work with. I wish I would have retained Sean Kelly at the beginning of my divorce process versus at the end. Sean is absolutely outstanding!

  I highly recommend John Byrnes. He is a very knowledgeable and professional attorney. During my divorce, I really appreciated that Mr. Byrnes was always very quick to respond when I had a question or when an issue developed. His supportive demeanor and understanding also put me at ease during such a stressful time. Mr. Byrnes is dependable and very fair. He is definitely someone you can count on to do an excellent job!

  I worked with John Byrnes several years ago. He is an excellent communicator and always made me feel understood. He's thoughtful, also. He called me early on, on the weekend, before we started our work together, to make sure that I didn't do something that was potentially not in my best interests. I always felt he had my back, and he never wasted my time. He is an honest, likeable lawyer, who I highly recommend.
