- TMTate McClellanAug 24, 20261.0I hired Karen Leiser on a $1,500 flat fee for an uncontested divorce. Due to communication issues and delays, I ultimately terminated her representation before any documents were filed with the court. I requested a refund of my unearned fee, and following my filing of a complaint with the Virginia State Bar, she issued a partial refund of $1,215. She retained $285 for draft pleadings that were never filed in court (the court filing fee was voided). If you are looking for an attorney who fulfills their duties in a timely manner, I recommend looking elsewhere.
