  The lawyer got my case dismissed as promised, so I’m very happy with the service provided. He kept me informed and followed up the same day or the next day to let me know the outcome, which I appreciated. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the receptionist who answered the phone came across as somewhat short and impatient during our interactions. I understand they likely deal with a high volume of calls and may frequently need to gather specific information from callers, which can be frustrating at times. However, customer service is an important part of the overall experience. A little more patience and a friendlier tone would go a long way toward making clients feel more comfortable and valued. Overall, I would still recommend this firm and am grateful for the positive result they achieved in my case.

  I cannot recommend Ed Riley and Riley & Wells highly enough. I was facing an extremely serious felony charge, and from the moment I hired Ed, I felt like I had someone with real experience, confidence, and judgment in my corner. What impressed me most was how proactive Ed was. By the time my preliminary hearing arrived, Ed had already worked with the Commonwealth and had the case positioned for dismissal. When I got to court, the hearing itself was essentially just a formality. I was at the stand for less than a minute, the charge was dismissed with prejudice, there were no court costs, and I walked out with a certified copy of the decision in hand. That was the best possible outcome I could have hoped for. Ed did not make empty promises or add to the stress. He was calm, direct, experienced, and effective throughout the entire process. When you are dealing with something this serious, you want an attorney who knows the court, knows the prosecutors, and knows how to get results. Ed did exactly that. Five stars without hesitation. If you need a criminal defense attorney in Richmond, Riley & Wells should be at the top of your list.
