  I contacted Odin Feldman & Pittleman around mid April 2026 regarding a serious civil rights/discrimination matter and spoke directly with legal assistant Valeria Lopez-Altamirano, who collected detailed information about my case, names involved, and the incident itself where I was removed from a restaurant due to a complaint from a white woman customer, police were called and I had nothing to do with the incident. The restaurant manager admitted this the following day and apologized as well. She told me to expect a follow-up email requesting additional documentation, yet weeks later I have received absolutely no response despite repeated calls, voicemails, and even messages left with Thomas at reception. As an African American seeking representation for a discrimination-related incident involving myself and my Middle Eastern friend, the complete silence and disregard from this office has been deeply disappointing and unprofessional. I would hate for race to potentially be a factor in this negligence as well. At minimum, potential clients deserve honesty, communication, and basic respect — especially when sharing sensitive civil rights concerns. Instead, I was ignored after providing detailed information they specifically requested. If this is how the firm treats potential clients before representation even begins, I would strongly caution others — particularly minorities or anyone seeking help with discrimination matters — to think carefully before choosing this office. A simple response declining the case would have shown more professionalism than weeks of silence.

  After my husband died unexpectedly, I was completely at a loss as to the steps to take to administer his estate. We had a trust which was drawn up by an attorney no longer in practice. The brief experience I had with this law firm was not positive in any way. I agree with another reviewer that they “are not well intentioned”. It cost me a significant amount of money to discover that these are people I would never want to have a relationship with - of any kind. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

  Dave Gutkowski was my lawyer in a big lawsuit against my builder. It went on for 2 years + and he did a great job helping us get a good settlement prior to trial. He is fierce, smart and good at what he does and I highly recommend him! Lauren Farrar, the associate attorney who worked with Dave on our case was great too. These are very smart people who know what they are doing.

  Wouldn’t use again. Nor would I ever recommend anyone else to use. Call at your own risk. Heed my warning and go somewhere else.
