  We cannot speak highly enough of Chris- we had to find new counsel pretty quickly before a Final Order date and Chris and his team went above and beyond. The were attentive, organized and truly made the experience everything our previous attorney did not.   I'm at a complete loss for words over the service I received from this firm and feel like I would be doing someone else in need a disservice by not writing this review. I've been involved in a child custody case for the past decade--countless hearings, multiple Weatherford-area attorneys, some good and some bad. At this point, I understand the process well enough to know what should happen and what absolutely shouldn't. Hiring this firm was, without question, the worst decision I've made throughout this entire ordeal. You and your children deserve better than what I experienced. The issues were endless: blatant dishonesty, refusal to return calls or emails, documents with the wrong names and addresses, months passing with zero progress, empty promises, and not a single meaningful update during an entire year of representation. The list goes on. You could make a Netflix documentary on how badly this case was handled. You need an emergency TRO filed to protect your children from a parent with a long history of abuse, after having the police intervene on multiple occasions? You'll be told that the judge is out on vacation (there's always someone available to address emergency orders) and Chris' wife has covid (yes - it's 2026 and we're still using the covid excuse) and therefore you're SOL until further notice. When they finally get around to it two weeks later, it'll likely be too late. Just one of the countless examples of blatant dishonesty and disregard/disrespect for you and you're children that I'm talking about. When we finally made it to court, everything was postponed because they had mishandled nearly every detail on the paperwork. And I'm not talking minor details. It was painfully obvious the documents were thrown together at the last minute. The judge was so frustrated--rightfully so--that he ordered me to pay both parties' attorney fees for wasting the day in court, over $10,000, just to reschedule and start over. I had no choice but to seek new counsel, and even that transition was made unnecessarily difficult. Maybe things run smoothly when Chris is present, and Michelle and Tyler stay on top of their responsibilities--but that was not my experience. It makes me sick to think someone else might go through what me and my children did. The system is already broken, and requiring clients to pay in full before services are rendered only makes it worse. No one would pay a homebuilder the entire cost upfront before construction even begins--you'd expect disaster. The same principle applies here. I can only hope that my case was a wakeup call to Chris and team.
