  Do not hire Diane St. Yves. She is a grifter. She took advantage of me when I was desperate to get divorced. I kept throwing money at her because I believed she was going to get me divorced in 4 months like she promised. Instead, it took TWO YEARS and cost me over $20,000. The worst part is that my ex-husband and I were BOTH working together to get divorced. We were in agreement, and we both turned all of our paperwork in on the SAME DAY. This was an uncontested divorce, so we were not fighting each other in court. One thing that really bothered me was how she complained about how long I took to review the divorce decree. I took about 2 months to read it because this is a document that affects your life permanently. If you miss something important in a divorce decree, you could potentially live with the consequences for the rest of your life. I wanted to make sure I understood what I was signing. Instead of understanding why I took my time to carefully review the most important document in my divorce, she made it seem like the delay was my fault. She basically explained that because I took that long instead of signing it within a week, that may be why I ended up being charged over $20,000 overall for my divorce. But why would I rush to sign something that affects the rest of my life just because my lawyer wanted me to sign it within a week? And beware of how she communicates with you in the beginning. She keeps consistent contact with you at first to hook you in. She tries to relate to you as much as she can and makes you feel like she understands what you are going through. But when you get closer to the end, the communication changes and she starts dodging you. I felt like she was trying to get more and more money out of me. She is also very good at lying. She lied to me about my spouse and made statements about him that were not true. I am sharing this because I wish someone had warned me before I hired her. I was desperate to get divorced, and I trusted what I was told about how quickly this would be handled. Instead, my uncontested divorce took TWO YEARS and cost me over $20,000. If you want to go through financial abuse after having enough of going through emotional abuse and physical abuse from your spouse. Then be my guest. Hire her! BEWARE.

  I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just have to commend my lawyer over the last 5 years on different family court matters, Ashley Coleman. If you need a lawyer I would definitely recommend Ms. Coleman. I will never go to anyone else!

  Ashley Coleman is sharp, wise, no-nonsense council that helped me through a brutal divorce/custody battle and got me an extremely fair outcome. She wasn’t afraid to tell me when I was wrong, even if it meant fewer billable hours. Ashley is honest, caring, and made sure to always think of the children’s best interest. What a blessing to have such peace of mind through that terrifying time of my life. Thank you, Ashley!
