  When I was referred to Nikki as my lawyer, I had no idea I was about to strike gold in the midst of one of the most painful phases of my life. Nikki became not only my trusted advocate, but also a kind and compassionate friend who showed, every step of the way, that she was willing to walk through this dark period with me. She made me feel safe to be myself, fought for me with compassion, and was honest about what was best in my situation. She was realistic about possible outcomes, yet always caring—often asking how my family and kids were doing. She put herself in my shoes and met my situation with genuine empathy. She also gave me something I desperately needed: hope that things would get better.
