  AVOID DISCHALL, DALY, AND THIS FIRM! There are numerous qualified family attorneys in Montgomery County. They will make sure to prioritize the clients objectives and interests. Additionally, they will do it in an ethical and efficient manner. Dischall, Daly, and this firm aint them. I went with this firm. Dischall billed around 30k in the first 4 months, while intentionally drawing this divorce out.(FYI, literally only 4k of work was valid) He then proceeded to bill me over 150k for the next 14 months of work. When he quit, the status remained in the exact same spot it was in after the 30k and 4 months. Why? He hired an inexperienced attorney, Daly, who was hired to be mentored/trained by Dischall. This was never told to me. However, in 2024, the entirety of substantive work was done by Daly (50,000+). The work product was so incompetant, that even Daly designated approximately 10% of all her bills as non-billable. Then billed the full amount everytime. Even when caught, they refused to refund. Only giving me future credits, so long as I keep paying them for services. Once Daly was hired, Dischall did nothing. He had no clue of the posture of my case, no idea of anything, yet somehow he billed 100k for his work. What did that consist of? literally 100 internal conferences with the Attorney trainee. This was over 50,000. To which, not a single note exists. These simply didnt occur. 10,000s on a case he wasnt authorized to touch, to which he billed me on the DIVORCE, which is INSANE. Beyond that, it was just batch bills, unverifiable, and bloated. For a 6 month period, he decided to REDO all the actions paid for the year prior. Why? They were completed by a competant attorney, and Daly needed training experience. On my dime. And Dischall thinks this is appropriate. But here are some of the actual bills Dischall defends as totally legit and valid. He asked me to draft depo questions, and billed me 1240 for me doing it. He billed me 800+ to email a guy we dont want a 500 dollar service. He billed me 1500+ to speak with his of counsel about a potential referral. THIS SHOULD BE FREE. He did this instead of doing an attorney review of my custody agreement. That resulted in a 33% reduction in custody, which he refused to address with the court for well over a year. Thanks Dischall. He billed me 5 hours, 2500 dollars, to read a letter and send an email. There are PLENTY of qualified, upstanding, and experienced family law attorneys with montgomery county experience. Do yourself a favor.....reach out to them and avoid Attorney Mark Dischell, Attorney Katie Lin Daly, and this firm as a whole.
