  I had never needed an attorney in my 55 years, and I hope I never need one again. But if I do, I won’t need to search for one — I found Shelton Law Firm. I initially worked with Jacob, who was professional from the beginning and, after meeting him in person, quickly became someone I knew I could trust. He spoke to me like a person, not like a legal textbook. He made sure I understood what was happening, what was expected of me, upcoming hearing dates, how to present myself in court, and what we could realistically expect. What impressed me most was that Jacob never made promises he couldn’t guarantee. After hearings, he would give me his assessment of where things stood while always being clear that the final outcome was ultimately up to the court. He gave me confidence without ever misleading me. For my final hearing, Jacob had another client who required his attention, so instead of passing me off to someone inexperienced, as Jacob put it, “you get the big guy himself” — Mr. Shelton. Mr. Shelton was outstanding. He was personable, approachable, never intimidating, and explained what was happening before it happened so I understood exactly where we stood throughout the hearing. After meeting both of them, I told Jacob that the two of them were meant to practice law together. One conversation probably says more about this firm than anything else. I once told Jacob, “I’m going to do whatever you tell me to do.” He immediately corrected me. He explained that his job was to give me his professional advice, make sure I understood my options and the consequences, and then allow ME to decide how I wanted to proceed. Whether I followed his recommendation or not, he would represent my decision. That earned a tremendous amount of respect from me. There are plenty of stereotypes about attorneys being arrogant, impersonal, or more interested in billing than people. My experience with Shelton Law Firm was the exact opposite. The staff was incredibly kind, both attorneys treated me with respect, communication was excellent, and I always felt they were genuinely working toward the best possible outcome for me. I’m extremely pleased with the representation I received and have no hesitation calling Shelton Law Firm “my attorneys” from this point forward. I would confidently recommend them to anyone who needs legal representation. One final point: their fees were also very reasonable considering the quality of representation and personal attention I received. Excellent attorneys. Excellent people. Excellent value. Five stars without hesitation.

  Shelby helped our friend so that he could get on the transplant list. Our friend had been in trouble and was on probation at the end of his punishment. He developed kidney and heart failure, but could not get on a transplant list as long as he was on probation. Shelby worked with the DA and was able to get the probation concluded. That was two years ago. Two days ago, our friend got a transplanted heart and kidney, and he is doing well. Thank you so much Shelby !!! Way to Go !!!

  A family is how I was treated, they worked with me on something’s I needed to get right, when I did they simply executed. I wanted custody of my daughter and they did all they could and had to do to ensure me of just that. Amazing folk and Cristen is a mold that was broken. Love em!

  This office has failed to return many of my phone calls regarding a case over a year ago. I’m disappointed in the way they handle things. They are all about pressuring you to leave a great review but do not finish the job they say they will do.
