  Peter is the kind of attorney you want when things are stressful. He’s straightforward, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and doesn’t make things more complicated than they need to be.   My entire life was upended when my ex accused me of domestic violence. Apart from the fear I felt from facing criminal charges, I knew, in that moment, the relationship I had fought for for so many years was over forever and I had to wrestle with that grief while physically moving away from the place we called home, etc. It was one of the lowest points of my life. Moreover, I came to learn that Ohio enforces strict law enforcement and prosecutorial approaches to domestic violence, which leaves people who are wrongfully accused feeling extreme pressure. Working in the legal field myself, I kind of thought I knew what to do, but it's totally different when it happens to you. I came to learn that your entire case ----is---- the lawyer you hire. For that, I could not have been more grateful that I found Madison. She understood the reputation and proclivities of the DA and knew how to maneuver around her. I can't even explain how much the court system makes you feel like a number, devoid of heart, a soul, a story, as if you're disinterested in justice or trying to get away with something, when justice is truly all you care about. In the chaos, Madison extended her hand to me and kept my faith alive which was truly the greatest gift I could have been given in my efforts to restart my life after this soul-crushing experience. One other thing I'll mention, Madison wasn't the first Google search result, or the first lawyer to answer her phone. Beware of the first attorney that answers the phone. I hired that lawyer initially, and ended up having to fire him because he gave me notice of mandatory appearance only 12 hours in advance. (He knew I lived out of state due to the breakup, but he didn't care, so I had to drive over night in shifts with my brother to comply with the appearance. The lawyer I hired gave me no advice or feedback as to whether it could be continued or not and what the consequences would be.) Trust me, the lawyer you hire is your case, and you should hire Madison.
