  Gray Smith handled my son’s complicated criminal case with professionalism, dedication, confidence and compassion. My son had briefly lived in North Carolina but lives quite a distance away now, which made the situation even more challenging. The charges he was facing were very serious and could have had life-changing consequences that would have destroyed his future. Mr. Smith worked diligently on the case, stayed committed throughout the process, and was able to negotiate a very favorable outcome for my son. We truly appreciate his hard work, knowledge, and persistence. We are a prayerful family, and we thank God for using Mr. Smith during such a difficult time in our lives. We highly recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and caring attorney.

  I don’t write reviews lightly, but Gray Smith at Mason, Mason & Smith in Wilmington, NC absolutely earned this one. From day one, he was in a different league. His preparation was on another level—thorough, precise, and completely dialed in. It was obvious he had mastered every detail of the case. I’ve dealt with professionals before, but I’ve never seen anyone come close to this level of readiness. It gave me total confidence knowing he was the one representing me. What truly sets Gray apart, though, is his grit and commitment. Even while running a 108-degree fever, he showed up and delivered. Not just “got through it”—he performed at an elite level. That kind of dedication is rare, and it speaks volumes about his character and professionalism.   Sarah was fantastic from beginning to end. A friend and former client referred me to the practice. From the beginning Sarah's confidence and calm demeanor let me know that I was in good hands. While she obviously did a fantastic job legally there was something that she did that was equally important. When I was uncertain or upset about something going on she was fantastic with calmly explaining the circumstances and helping me to understand that if I was patient, brighter days were just around the corner. Sarah and Shelby, her paralegal, were fantastic to work with. I can't recommend them enough.

  I personally recommend Mr. W. Gray Smith. He is professional, reasonable, quick to respond and straightforward. I needed an attorney to represent me with very short notice (3-4 days), yet he still took my case with only two days notice. I did consult with other attorneys & am happy I chose him. He provided reassurance and without his legal services, I would have been riddled with anxiety and may have lost my case. I was unexpectedly served a DVPO, that other attorneys I consulted with said the claims pretty serious charges. While the claims were serious and outrageous, so were the other attorney fees, which were double the price. Overall, I highly recommend him. And I would like to personally thank you for your service.
