  I felt defeated but Mr. Pavey was very patient and understanding. After we settled I thought I was going into a financial crisis with legal fees. They refunded a substantial amount which I really appreciated. He definitely did his job thank you so much! I also appreciated the break down of the cost. Some other local business(Wards Plumbing)should take notes.

  When I closed on the sale of my rental house on the 18th, the law firm calculated the closing statement incorrectly. The real estate commission was incorrect. (The mistake was in my favor.) The closing was supposed to be on the 16th. The agent called the attorney’s office on the 15th to verify. By the 17th, I still had not been notified by the law firm to come in and sign the deed. After the agent called to let them know, they called late on the 17th to have me come in on the 18th to sign. They were closing their office at 12:30 until the 28th. When the agent notified them that the commission was wrong, they eventually responded today, saying too bad. They stated they are not obligated to correct anything, and to just accept the check they were given. (I was forwarded a copy of the email sent. They didn’t even have the decency to call the agent). Needless to say, I am astounded at the shoddy way they have handled the whole closing. I am writing a check directly to Remax for the error. But I will never recommend that law firm again to anyone. They should be ashamed!! 😡
