- CMChristie MurrayApr 28, 20261.0We had a very disappointing experience with Pendleton Law Firm during the closing of our home sale. We have bought and sold multiple homes over the years and have worked with several law firms, and this was by far the most unprofessional experience we have ever had. From the beginning, communication was poor and disorganized. We received inconsistent requests for paperwork, an “urgent” email for documents we had never previously been asked to provide, and we did not receive the closing statement in advance as expected. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment, an employee led our family downstairs to the closing room. Once seated, she immediately spoke to us in a rude and hostile tone, questioning why everyone was there. It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. She never introduced herself and treated us as if we were a problem. We then spoke with the attorney, who did not apologize for the employee’s behavior or take responsibility for the poor communication and confusion. Instead, he defended the office and made excuses. No concern was shown for how we had been treated. To make matters worse, we had to request copies of signed paperwork ourselves, and when we later asked to speak with someone in management, we were refused. We paid hundreds of dollars for this closing and were treated with disrespect from start to finish. We have never experienced anything like this with any other closing attorney. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Pendleton Law Firm.
