I paid for legal services with the expectation that my case would be handled professionally and that I would receive updates and communication along the way. Instead, after payment was made, it became increasingly difficult to get anyone to respond. Calls, messages, and requests for updates often went unanswered, leaving me feeling completely ghosted. When you’re paying for legal services, you should never have to chase someone down just to find out what’s happening with your case. I understand that attorneys and legal offices can be busy, but there is no excuse for taking a client’s money and then failing to communicate. I was left frustrated, stressed, and feeling like my concerns didn’t matter. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Big Sky Justice.

He took my case in May 2023 to pursue primary custody. In April 2024, we won primary custody. In July 2024, he helped us win again after an objection to the standing master’s order. Then in July 2025, when my ex tried to bring me back to court again, James stepped in once more and helped us maintain primary custody without having to go through another full court fight. What stood out most was how prepared and knowledgeable he was every time it mattered. In court, James knew my case down to the smallest details. He understood the law, the terminology, and the strategy at a level that was honestly impressive to watch. Whenever the other side raised an issue, he had an answer and knew how to respond. This was a long and stressful process, but James helped protect my daughter and helped us keep primary custody. What he did for my family meant a great deal to us, and I would Highly recommend him to anyone who needs a strong, knowledgeable family law attorney.
