  I hired Doug to represent me for a professional licensing matter. From the moment I first reached out, Doug made it clear I’d picked the right person for the job. He was courteous and professional. He gave me as much time as I needed to share what I had to say. He took the time to answer my questions and when he didn’t know something he was honest and didn’t make something up. My matter came with a lot of stress and emotional baggage and I was an impatient client but Doug never ever lost his patience or made me feel badly about my anxiety about everything. He made me feel like I was the only client he had. It was incredibly moving and powerful. I feel like I made a new friend in this whole process. As far as my professional matter, Doug was extremely knowledgeable about the policies and procedures relevant to my case. He knew the law well and was able to prepare me exceptionally well for my case. Everything that was asked of me, I can say without a doubt, “he called it!” If I could afford it, I’d pay Doug a million dollars for what he did for me - the support he provided not just as my attorney but as someone who was “in my corner” during the most difficult professional challenge I’ve ever gone through in my career was priceless to me.   I called and left a message for Doug on a Monday morning and he personally returned my call the same afternoon. He took time to understand my case, was both optimistic and realistic, and ultimately was prepared on the day of my appeal hearing. Had I not had Doug, I honestly don't believe I would have gotten my license back. If you are a doctor, nurse, dentist, or any other licensed professional whose license is in jeopardy, CALL DOUG!!!

  I highly recommend Doug Mercier to any Nurse that needs legal representation for criminal or administrative law. Doug has many years of experience representing nurses that need him. Doug fought for my license as if they were his own. Doug will be very honest with you about your case but will fight with all his strength and knowledge for you. There were many times his words of encouragement to not give up gave me the strength to keep going. Again, if you want a bull dog of an attorney to fight any legal issue then you need Doug Mercier!!
