  I was in a motorcycle accident that was not my fault, and unfortunately, I sustained major injuries that will impact my life forever. When I realized I needed legal representation, I was referred to Brent at The Sumner Law Group. I was told I should use Brent because he was “aggressive.” But what does that really mean? I’m aggressive too, so I was curious to see what that meant in a lawyer! What I learned is that Brent is so much more than aggressive. He is sympathetic, compassionate, tenacious, strategic, and a true champion for his clients. He genuinely looks out for the best possible outcome for the people he represents. If you find yourself needing an attorney, you should absolutely want Brent—or someone from his firm—in your corner. Brent is energetic, down-to-earth, confident, and, most importantly, real. His confidence isn't an act; it comes from experience, preparation, and knowing how to think outside the box. He fights for what his clients deserve, including lost compensation, medical expenses, pain and suffering, and the long-term impact an injury can have on your life. He isn't looking to simply take the first—or even what appears to be the “best”—offer if he doesn't believe it's fair to his client. There are also three things that really stood out to me during my case: 1. You get an entire team behind you. The partners at The Sumner Law Group collaborate on cases as a team. I loved having the diversity of perspectives and the additional years of combined experience working in my favor. It gave me even more confidence that my case was being looked at from every angle. 2. Brent is accessible. I could contact him directly on his cell phone. If he wasn't available, he consistently returned my calls quickly. And yes, he even texts when that's the easiest way for him to respond. That level of accessibility meant a lot to me during an already stressful and overwhelming time. 3. He helped me with my medical bills, too. My medical bills could have taken a significant portion of my settlement. Brent was able to negotiate those balances down substantially, which made a huge difference in what I ultimately received. Brent doesn't charge an upfront fee and explained from the beginning that there would be no out-of-pocket costs unless a recovery was made. From start to finish, my entire case was handled beyond my expectations. And the speed of the settlement honestly surprised me. When I told my financial advisor how soon I expected to have my settlement check, he actually thought I had misunderstood something. I hadn't. Brent and his team resolved my case that quickly. Going through a serious motorcycle accident and the aftermath is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.
