I found him to be unprofessional in the following ways: (1) Missed details of information and/or elements of my case that were provided to him. (2) Failed to respond for a week and only responded after multiple follow-ups. (3) Ultimately, my impression is that he was very shifty and disingenuous.

During the call, I was informed that there would be a $200 fee simply to evaluate whether I have a case. I was surprised by this, as many law firms offer an initial consultation at no cost to assess whether they can assist a potential client. Could you please explain the reason for this $200 charge for an initial case evaluation?
