- SHShawn HawesJun 24, 20261.0Over the last year my family has been using this firm. Taking our money left and right. it started off good, the lawyer was talking to us working things out, then all of a sudden, the communication took a turn. The lawyer only would respond in email and would not take our phone calls or call us back. When we called the office, we would get the run around. She's here but we can't find her or she's busy. Ok understandable, can you have her call us back. "No but we can schedule an appointment for you to talk with her" The appointment was a month away. The secretary got an attitude and told my wife "This is what I have if you want to talk to your lawyer email her. While trying to explain the reason for calling and the urgency to talk to our lawyer, we were rudely interrupted and never got a chance to explain why we needed to talk to her. Later that night we finally hear back from the lawyer. Yes, In an email. She no longer wants to work with us because we had an attitude with the secretary. The truth is we wouldn't have had an attitude if the secretary, who works there and can see if the lawyer is there, would have just done her job in the first place. This isn't the first lawyer we have ever had. we know how things are supposed to work and this was very unprofessional. and I will be writing the ethics committee of Michigan and Ohio.
