  not very becoming of an attorney to keep a deposit he did nothing for. been trying to get my deposit back since march. keeps telling me he will get me a check. then never hear from him till i contact his office. there are other ways to proceed further.

  Did not do his due diligence on my case in the slightest. He was unable to procure a simple police report from the Dryden Police department. After a total of seven court dates I threw in the towel and took the first plea deal by the prosecutors office because I did not believe in him because of his lack of work ethic and severe lack of communication weather it was answering a simple phone call or e-mail. The icing on the cake was when he didn’t even show up to my sentencing. It was a total waste of a 2500 dollar retainer.

  This law office is an absolute joke. While the receptionist is very kind, the lawyer is ridiculous. Been waiting for 15 weeks for something to be done with my retainer, nothing. Written a formal request for a refund so I can move on, guess what? My calls magically won't go thru. Went today to speak to them about a refund and the receptionist was very upset at how unprofessional he handled this case and basically told me if I don't hound him I won't see a cent of it. So not only is he trying to keep my money for no service rendered he's given me 6 weeks of promise after promise, 4 weeks of completely dodging me. Now I will have to go to the grievance board and the client protection agency to regain any sort of refund and my evidence back. Because he won't allow the secretary to release that without his permission. Came to him for answers got more problems and a bigger headache. Waste of time, money and resources going to this guy. I wasn't even supposed to be his case! He scalped my case from a fellow lawyer and used that to screw people over? Not me, not today. 3000 dollars for some guy to try and take advantage of a mother? Not very cool at all. It's been 16 weeks of hounding him and begging him no results or even a response. Moved offices left me and my case in the wind. Receptionist told me no way I will see a refund without hounding him. So I went to the bar association. Absolutely unreal. Lazy, unmotivated and lacks a works ethic. Gives hundreds of excuses

  DO NOT USE DAVID BROWN. Between unanswered phone calls for over 2 weeks and asking questions and getting no answers. Had to turn paperwork into this place multiple times because they misplaced it in the disaster of an office they had. They've currently moved just south of downtown but thats no excuse. I left messages on their machine looking for important information for a call back. No call back. Sent emails over to not only the office but also David's personal email that he gives out over the voicemail message. No return messages. Our family got left in the dark in a super stressful time. Another instance I had was I had a scheduled appointment with David on a monday, got to the office for him to tell me I hadnt provided the proper paperwork even though I had given it to them the previous Friday. So they rescheduled me to the next day(Tuesday). Left work early both days and get there Tuesday and right after I parked his assistant calls me and says David got hung up in court late he will have to reschedule. His vehicle was in the parking lot! I got home and called the office and David himself answered and I called him out on cancelling an already unnecessary appointment. Don't waste your time with this place, they will make your life more stressful than it already is for needing him for help. Go elsewhere, I read the mixed reviews to and gave him a shot and the negative reviews are spot on! Very lazy attorney with every excuse in the book that hes already probably used on the person before you. Take the warning and go elsewhere.
