  I DO NOT recommend Mr. Massey if you are looking for an attorney who communicates effectively, acts professionally, and prioritizes his clients’ best interests. Throughout our case, communication was extremely poor. Over a two-month period, we repeatedly reached out regarding serious concerns and were largely ignored. Neither Mr. Massey nor his staff provided meaningful responses, and there was no automatic email reply advising clients that he was out of the office on what he later described as a “much needed” vacation. As paying clients, we were left completely in the dark. After multiple calls and follow-up messages simply trying to get answers, Mr. Massey finally responded in a hostile and dismissive manner, stating that it was none of our business that he was out of state and that he did not answer to us. Rather than acknowledging the lack of communication or taking accountability for the situation, he shifted blame onto us for expressing legitimate concerns. His overall demeanor was often condescending and sarcastic, giving the impression that client concerns were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Instead of providing reassurance or guidance, interactions frequently felt defensive and unprofessional. There were also repeated delays and excuses when we requested motions to be filed. Matters that required timely attention were continuously postponed without clear explanations. Even after we made the decision to terminate his services, the process was unnecessarily dragged out for weeks despite repeated assurances that the paperwork would be completed promptly. At one point, Mr. Massey enthusiastically informed us that he had negotiated a deal with another company, presenting it as a success. Unfortunately, the outcome ultimately worked against our interests and left us in a significantly worse position. Clients hire attorneys to advocate for them, communicate honestly, and handle matters with professionalism and urgency. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Mr. Massey. Mr. Massey made it known that he is in good standing in Kentucky and more less untouchable by the Kentucky Bar.

  I want to start by saying that Ed has truly moved mountains for our family. When we first came to him, we were facing what felt like a horror story. We were scared, on the verge of losing our family, and honestly had very little hope left. Through Ed’s dedication, compassion, and knowledge, he helped turn what could have been a devastating outcome into one of the greatest testimonies our family will ever have. We had people mocking us and telling us that my husband would never know freedom again, but because of Ed, we are back together as a family, raising our children, and getting ready to have our life back in full swing. Ed showed the utmost compassion and care for our family. He worked tirelessly to make sure his promises became reality, and he never stopped fighting for us. He has truly been a blessing, and I would recommend him to anyone going through a difficult time and in need of someone who genuinely cares and will go to bat for them. Because of Ed, we get to raise our children together, move forward with our future, and get married. I would also like to mention the entire office staff, who were wonderful to work with throughout this journey. Every person we encountered carried an immense amount of compassion and made us feel seen, heard, and supported—which is something that can be hard to find these days. After 14 long months of Ed fighting for our family, we truly consider him part of ours. Thank you, Ed, for everything you have done for our family. We will always be grateful. Psalm 46:10
