  I retained Michael to handle my mother’s divorce. I found him to be very thoughtful and strategic in his approach to negotiations, clear and concise in documenting the agreement, and empathetic to my mother’s emotional state. He also was cost conscious and effective at moving the proceedings along. I could not recommend him more highly.

  I highly recommend Michael Chapski for anyone going through a difficult divorce or custody matter. My case was extremely high conflict, and the other party was very difficult to work with throughout the process. Mr. Chapski was professional, prepared, and dependable every step of the way. He attended every court appearance that required his attention and was always responsive to emails and phone calls in a very timely manner. His professionalism truly goes above and beyond. What I appreciated most was his ability to keep emotions out of the courtroom while still advocating strongly for me. He consistently provided reasonable, practical advice that helped move the court proceedings along as efficiently as possible. He basically tells it how it is and works to get quick resolutions in an efficient and cost-effective manner. During a very stressful time, having an attorney who was calm, knowledgeable, and reliable made a huge difference. Especially in a high-conflict situation with emotionally charged circumstances, Mr. Chapski stayed focused on the facts and the law rather than the drama.   If you're wanting an attorney that you have to read over all the contracts, because he doesn't, he's your guy. He told me just sign the marital agreement. Everything's okay after reading it. He had me signing off on another 10 years of my pension. Just because he didn't read it. He's a lazy hack. Any other attorney I spoke with afterwards said you should have used his brother but his brother retired. Good thing is brother built him a good name before he took over.
