  Stuart and Kimberly were great. The process of divorce through the courts can be slow and frustrating. Stuart is excellent at telling you where things stand and in giving sound advice and recommendations based on the reality of your situation and IL divorce law. What Stuart told me from the beginning was pretty much exactly how everything played out. When things got more tense at the end of the process, Stuart would always pick up the phone and be able to pivot quickly with advice based on the latest twist and turn. With his strong communication regarding outcomes and expectations, it allowed me to be less tense throughout the process. While I don’t want to go through the divorce process ever again, I strongly recommend Stuart and I wish you the best of luck!

  I had a great experience working with Stuart and Kimberly during my divorce. They are both incredibly savvy negotiators and approached everything with a calm, strategic mindset that made a stressful process feel much more manageable. They were also consistently communicative and responsive—even when the other party was not—which really helped ease my mind and kept things moving forward.   I contacted Stuart Reid’s office for help with a serious post-decree family law issue. He declined the case, which is fine, but the way he did it was unnecessary and judgmental. His response described the situation as “toxic” and said it was a “big red flag” that the parties were back in court shortly after the decree. People looking for family law attorneys are often already in one of the most stressful situations of their lives. I did not expect guaranteed representation, but I also did not expect to be spoken to like my case was radioactive or like needing court intervention made me the problem. The response felt dismissive and frankly cold. If you are dealing with a high-conflict post-decree or custody issue and need someone who will actually understand the stress of that situation, my experience with this office would make me look elsewhere.
