  I contacted GWC Injury Attorneys seeking counsel regarding a workers’ compensation matter as a correctional officer injured in the line of duty. Based on my personal experience, my consultation with Kitra K. Killen was disappointing and did not meet the level of professionalism I was hoping for. During the call, I felt the conversation was rushed and that I was not given sufficient opportunity to fully explain important details of my case. My understanding is that workers’ compensation wage issues for law-enforcement personnel can involve overtime, pay increases, specialty compensation, and other records-based factors. I attempted to explain that context, but I left the call feeling unheard and discouraged. When injured public servants seek legal guidance, they are often dealing with physical pain, uncertainty, and financial stress. In my opinion, those situations call for patience, attentiveness, and clear communication. Based on this experience alone, I would not personally choose this firm for representation, nor would I recommend it to others in similar circumstances. I would welcome a professional response from management regarding whether my experience is consistent with the level of client service the firm intends to provide.
