  I frequently send clients with tax and estate issues to Jim. Jim is the preeminent tax attorney in the state of Iowa and gets directly to the matters at hand. He was also the best Professor I had in law school.

  When you visit the office you'll know why not to use this firm . The attorney cant look you in the eye with a straight answer and not confident how they can locate any item as nothing seems filed!

  I used to trust this man on my mother's estate that he took over after major lack of fiduciary from a local Certified Financial Professional from 2018 but now even 3 years under Monroe the estate still isn't close to being closed. Secondly Monroe missed a crucial tax appeal date after Iowa Dept Of Revenue notified him and myself physically taking the papers to him. Jim you were highly referred as best in estate and tax..........why are you failing on this estate you been paid greatly the court docs show how much you've paid yourself! Saddened by your lack of failed response to emails, phone calls sent to voice mail and I don't know how you find anything in that office with paper absolutely everywhere. On the floor, on tables in the kitchen..........

  Absolutely gem of an attorney. I don't like many attorneys but Jim is direct, incredibly smart and knowledgeable and very responsive. I appreciate his counsel very much and so will anyone else that uses his services. Highly recommended.

  All in all, I had a really messed up tax history and Jim and Daniel helped me. Just 5 stars is all I have to say, extraordinary work, fantastic people. Only thing I have to say is with taxes it does take time, that’s uncle sams fault there. Thank you very much
