- RKRhett Kelley3 days ago1.0I am extremely dissatisfied with his services. After paying half his flat rate to probate an estate (plus court fees), Mr. Thompson failed to have any communications with me for a number of weeks. I left voicemails and sent emails. I got no replies. I didn't even know the date of the initial hearing for my petition until I was contacted by the guardian ad litem appointed for one of the heirs asking me about the estate. This was two days prior to the hearing! I was stunned to have to learn of the hearing from anyone other than the lawyer I was paying to keep me informed! Upon finding out about the hearing, I left Mr. Thompson another voicemail. I got an email the next day (the day before the hearing) full of excuses for why he had no contact with me for weeks. Due to issues with his lack of communication and disagreements with family, I decided to withdraw my petition. Mr. Thompson had the gall to still require me to pay the rest of his probate fee despite his terrible communication and the fact we didn't even go forward with the case. I was fine with what I paid him up until then, but it was a pure insult that he wanted any further payment after dropping the ball like he did. I hope he spends some money on hiring a secretary. This isn't a "law firm." It's a one man show with someone at the helm who can't take five minutes of his day to inform his client of anything regarding the case. He got his money. So, now he's gotten this review also.
