  I was quoted $6k for full representation through trial, with an option to start at $3k for a limited-scope RFO that included an attorney at my hearing. Instead, they botched the filing—costing me $500 out-of-pocket to fix—ignored my refund requests, and then tried to charge $9k total for trial instead of the agreed $6k. Unethical pricing and terrible communication.

  Sua is very incompetent and unethical attorney: He was my attorney with a divorce case from 2021-2024. First, instead of offering me to hire a forensic accountant to investigate my ex's financial hidings, he did it himself and charged me $$$ for so-called "forensic accounting work". Because of his financial investigation based on his "prolific" charges with 0 results of professional financial findings, my divorce trial extended for years instead of two day trial when the forensic accountant could testify in a few hours with all his findings. After so many hearings, the judge finally reprimanded Sua saying, "Why don't you hire a Forensic Accountant, Mr. Sua?" In fact, Mr. Sua had had NO accounting firm to refer to his clients. So, I was Sua's money pocket with $$$ payments for financial discoveries that put my case nowhere. After the Judge's statement, they offered me immediately an accounting firm (to cover their wrongdoing) after taken away from me $$$ for their "creepy" financial work. Of course , I could not afford a forensic accountant after paying $$$ for unethically wrong and unprofessional work performed by Sua. Besides that Sua constantly change his rate from $300 to $350 to $450 within a year or so. The rate may change on their invoice unless you catch it. So please be aware. My case today with the CA BAR which, in my opinion, is a very unprofessional organization that protects not consumers/victims but the unethical attorneys. I have a very light hope that Sua will be eventually charged for his unprofessionalism. Attorneys like him know all in and outs to be cleaned in front of Bar, but we are, consumers, are their prey to make them richer and greedier. Besides the financial part, I caught Sua when he tried to cross-examine my ex asking him about his finances and his mother. I could only raise my brows because my ex's mother had passed a few months prior to the hearing: Sua had been notified immediately. Sua apologized to my ex that he did know about his mother in front of the judge. After the hearing, the bill from Sua's office came out with $3k + for all Preparation hours to that specific hearing when he apologized in front of the judge for not knowing about my ex's mother's death! Should I say anything else how Sua is preparing for the hearing and his work ethics?

  I cannot recommend Anna and Calley highly enough. Calley was incredible throughout my case. She handled the heavy lifting, kept costs reasonable, communicated clearly, and always kept me informed. She was organized, responsive, and made a stressful process much easier to navigate. Anna was outstanding in the courtroom. She was prepared, confident, and fought for my position every step of the way. The other side was seeking an 80/20 parenting arrangement, but Anna effectively presented the facts, challenged evidence that lacked foundation, and successfully kept unsupported evidence from reaching the judge. What stood out most was her communication and professionalism. Whenever concerns came up, she made sure to get my side of the story before responding. She kept me calm during a very stressful case and gave me confidence that we were making the right decisions. The result was a very favorable outcome. Despite the other side seeking an 80/20 arrangement, the court ultimately ordered a 50/50 parenting schedule and favorable child support orders. If you are looking for a family law team that is knowledgeable, strategic, cost-effective, communicative, and willing to fight for their clients, I highly recommend Anna and Calley.

  If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not hire this law firm. I hired them on a limited scope retainer of which they only had to appear for one court date and they didn't even do that. They did partially refund me, but the pain it caused me in my case couldn't be made up with any amount of money. At one point, I did ask them to refrain from appearing, but at no time was the contract revised. It was a clear breach of contract when they did not appear on my court date. The paralegal Sylvia was an absolute nightmare to work with and exemplified multiple incidents of misconduct. If you care at all about the outcome of your case, do not hire.
