I cannot say enough about the Genie Harrison Law Firm, and specifically Andie Fields. I retained the firm initially for consultation and coaching, and ultimately to help shape and support my contract negotiation.
Andie was exceptional throughout the entire process. She combined deep expertise with pragmatic, thoughtful advice, excellent judgment, and outstanding coaching. She helped me understand my options, pressure-test decisions, and navigate with clarity and confidence.
What impressed me just as much was the genuine care behind the work. Andie and the entire firm took achieving an optimal outcome seriously at every stage. I always felt supported, well advised, and in extremely capable hands.
I would recommend Andie and the Genie Harrison Law Firm without hesitation.

My experience with the Genie Harrison Law Firm has been great. I worked with Andie Fields throughout a complex negotiation that has ended in a satisfying way.
When I decided to work with a lawyer for my specific case, I had a few concerns:
1. trust - without having a deep knowledge of law firms in general, the risk of identifying the wrong lawyer was real;
2. commitment and care - I feared my case would be seen as too small and consequently treated with limited attention.
All my concerns disappeared as soon as I had my first conversation with Andie. For starters, she had a lot of experience with my type of case. She was straightforward about what to expect from the process, and always transparent on her availability. She was always incredibly prompt in responding to emails, texts, calls - I never felt second to any other case.
Her guidance and strategic recommendations have been spot on - on top of getting me to a great outcome, they helped me reframe my outlook on the case, make peace with the specific situation and approach it with the needed detachment.
Andie went out of her way to strategize with me, to always explain in depth the reasoning behind a recommended approach, to hear me out and answer my questions and/or doubts - always with an attitude of transparency, constructiveness, kindness and empathy.
Last but not least, I interacted with two other team members of the GHLF, Lydia and Zenia: they have been incredibly professional, prompt and kind. It's been a real pleasure to collaborate with this team and I would recommend them to anyone in need of a kickass law firm.
I can't recommend Andie Fields and the Genie Harrison Law Firm highly enough. I came to them during one of the most stressful moments of my career, and from the first conversation I felt heard, respected, and genuinely well-advised. Andie was the only attorney with whom I spoke (after reaching out to 5 different firms) who offered genuine empathy and listened actively. She was also extremely sharp, straightforward, and deeply knowledgeable and explained complex issues in plain language, gave me honest assessments even when the answer wasn't what I hoped to hear, and always put my best interests first. She was responsive, thoughtful, and never pushed me toward anything that wasn't right for me. What stood out most was her integrity. Andie gave me practical, no-nonsense guidance, helped me approach a difficult situation with confidence and clarity, and made sure I understood every decision along the way. If you're navigating a hard employment situation and want someone brilliant, ethical, and truly in your corner, Andie and this firm are exactly who you want. I'm grateful for their support and would return to them without hesitation.
I have had the pleasure of speaking with Jennifer Ostertag regarding some legal issues that my business has had to endure. She is extremely responsive, thoughtful, and beyond helpful. I would highly recommend her and this entire law firm for any employment law concerns that you might have.

I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessional intake process at this firm. As an employee of a fortune 500 company dealing with a high-stakes, time-sensitive corporate whistleblower retaliation matter with a strict upcoming statute of limitations, I expected a high level of professional competence. Instead, this firm missed our initial scheduled consultation entirely. When an intake worker finally followed up hours late, they offered excuses rather than accountability and attempted to rush me into a rescheduled slot at noon today. I adjusted my schedule to give them a second chance, only for them to completely leave me hanging a second time. If a firm cannot manage a simple calendar or respect a potential client's time during the intake phase, I have zero confidence in their ability to manage complex litigation. Do not waste your time here if you have a serious case with strict deadlines. There are plenty of elite powerhouse firms in Los Angeles that actually treat people with respect and urgency.
Edit: I specifically chose this firm based on their high public reviews and advertised expertise in high-exposure employment litigation, expecting a premium level of professional competence. Instead, their intake process was a complete disaster. After their staff missed two scheduled consultation appointments, I posted my initial honest reviews. In response, the lead attorney actually called my personal cell phone while driving to a client to do damage control. The call was a complete contradiction. She admitted she hadn’t even looked at my file or specific details despite her team's failures. The second she realized my area code was (Bay Area code), her entire demeanor shifted into making excuses. She claimed she does not represent clients outside of LA County because it’s "better to have a local firm." When I explicitly shattered that excuse by telling her that traveling isn't an issue for me because I fly for free as an airline employee, she had no response for that but to say the meetings between client and attorneys will need to happen in the same city they are in as well as where the case is filed and etc. She still kept dragging out the call after I tried to end it respectfully 2x. This was a transparent, disorganized attempt to soothe a corporate ego and pacify an elite client rather than show professional accountability. The reviews are permanent and will not be removed. Unprofessional from start to finish. To add to the audacity, she then had the gall to ask if I had any general questions about my case—as if I needed basic advice from someone who just admitted they hadn’t even reviewed my file. I shut it down immediately and told her: "NO, I have done all the research I need to, and now I am seeking legal counsel at this point. If you want a firm that respects your intelligence, your time, and your evidence, look elsewhere.
