  Public defender had suggested I take 8 years for a crime I didn't even commit. She made it so I didn't get any extra time and eventually helped me get misdemeanors off of my record

  Julie McDonald came through when she was needed desperately! The public defender said my son might get 10 more years so we went to Julie upon a recommendation. She was very professional and went the extra mile to assure my son was moved to a safe place, no extra time, concurrent sentences and was very supportive. Essentially, my son owes his life to her effective defense and her knowledge of the system. He is now a successful member of the community helping others with mental health and substance abuse issues. It could have gone very badly if we relied on the public defender. We highly recommend her! Thank you Julie.
