He listened to my husband and I, made some recommendations which we thought over, and we were able to decide if trusts, or wills, or other options were the best for us. After the initial consultation, the attorney and staff were able to put our paperwork together which we reviewed and signed during the second meeting. Easy, peasy!!! The whole office was courteous and professional.
- DDDan DalCaisSep 20, 20211.0I hired Disrud for representation in a VA benefits claim case. After 8 months I fired him when a US Congressional Inquiry (TX21) revealed his practice violates three Federal Laws. Acting upon complaints of Stolen Valor and Veterans Benefit Fraud as well as a request from TX Rep Diego Bernal, HD123 the Texas Veterans Commission(TVC) filed a complaint that led to establishing Disrud's admitted wrongdoing by illegally offering services (for which he's unqualified), taking advanced payments (for services never rendered) and taking payments from Veterans without pre-approval from VA. All three directly violate federal law governing VA representation. So far Disrud's only been ordered to return the money illegally taken from the Veteran cited in TVC's complaint. Disrud testified to taking an average of $5000 each from 3-4 clients a year for about twenty years. Former clients who paid for VA Representation should contact TVC's Legal Counsel.
