  I decided to use Jennifer Morton after attending one of her probate seminars in Pearland. My family member signed documents during our first appointment on July 3rd, but they were never filed. For a month, I received no case number or notification from her. We went back on 8/28 to re-sign the paperwork due to an incorrect address. Even then, it wasn’t until 9/11, after my family reached out, that her assistant finally filed the documents. Now I know it typically only takes a few days to file with the court, which raises even more questions about why this process took so long. To put things in perspective, I notarized the same form for someone else, and they paid $175 for their lawyer to email the forms and she MAILED them back, within 10 days she was done and she started after us. We, on the other hand, paid $300 and experienced significant delays. In my situation, anything could have happened during this period of delay. As a probate lawyer, I assumed, she would of been more sensitive to the urgency and importance of these matters for her clients. If you decide to use Jennifer Morton, I strongly recommend thoroughly vetting your lawyer, something I regret not doing better!!
