  I contracted GBS following spinal surgery and flu a vaccination mandated by the hospital prior to admission. This is in the Fall of 2022. Three days after successful surgery was preparing for bed and suddenly I fell to the floor. I was pain free, but paralyzed. My wife called 911 which brought our local volunteer fire fighters. They drove me to a hospital ER. Within minutes of arriving, I suddenly felt I couldn't breathe and told my wife so. subsequently, I have only brief, snapshot memories of the next three month period while I was treated in three different hospitals and had it be resuscitated several times. Then I spent nine months in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The GBS caused the fingers of my left hand to be drawn up against my palm and my hand to be canted to the right. My left hand is useless except to can pinch objects between my thumb and forefinger. Additionally, the tendons on both legs have shortened drawing my heels up from the floor one and a half, making it impossible to without heel lifts in my shoes. I have since partially recovered my balance to walk, but cannot stand for more than ten to fifteen minutes and everyday life is made much more difficult with only one hand. A childhood friend practicing law, found Sean Greenwood of The Greenwood Law Firm in Houston, Texas for me who specializes in vaccination injuries and he filed suit on my behalf with the Federal government and he explained about the national vaccine injury compensation program, what was involved and the limits I could expect for different categories of compensation. I had to furnish an explanation of what had occurred, and when, what my injuries were, and all sources of medical care. The process took months and the firm's head paralegal Jon recovered thousands of my medical records for Mr. Greenwood to put my case together. The result..........I received the maximum amount for Pain and Suffering and the government will pay Mr. Greenwood for his stellar efforts on my behalf.

  I took the flu shot and ended up in the hospital with Gulian Barre or CIDP. After weeks of going nowhere, I reached out to the Greenwood Law firm. They took the time to assist me with the paperwork and took the time to listen to my personal needs. I just wanted someone to believe that I did not do anything wrong, and my life change forever. They fought for every dollar that was provided for the medical issue that changed my life. It's not about the money as much as having a law firm that put you first.
