BDF is the substitute trustee for the mortgage foreclosure auction on my home. I was assaulted and my brain is broken and I had problems being able to find help during Covid and after Covid and lead to me losing my home. I am living in my car which just broke so I can no longer drive and work. Not being able to work... can't buy food, I have a dog and make sure my dog has food before myself. It's high 90's in DFW so being in a car that doesn't work is hard. The substitute trustee paperwork filed with the Tarrant County Records shows BDF located in Addison so I was contacting the office as shown on the Tarrant County Records but never received a response. A kind stranger offered to drive me to BDF Offices. The doors are locked and have to ring in order to speak to someone. A lady that was in the vestibule area going back inside the office asked if we needed assistance. She didn't know anything about foreclosure excess funds. Another lady going inside overhead our conversation and took my information and let me know foreclosure excess funds isn't handled out of this office. She then gave me contact information for the person handling the foreclosure excess funds. I have emailed several times, called and can only leave voicemails without a response. I have explained my situation hoping they would understand and have some humanity and respond with instructions or requirements for me to be able file a claim with their firm to be paid the money owed to me from my home selling for more than owed to the mortgage company. These are funds that BDF is holding but they put no priority in even responding with instructions. Keep in mind that as the substitute trustee they have been paid their fees from money that has already been paid from the sell of my home. They received their fees before I get money owed to me which they are holding but will not respond to requests for information to file a claim to them that they handled the foreclosure auction and already know that those excess funds are required to be paid when the owner is requesting the claim form and requirements/instructions. BDF has no respect for other people's lives. No care whatsoever for a person who was assaulted and has a broken brain. It's been depressing to me to keep asking for help but nobody takes my life seriously and doesn't take how difficult it is to learn to live with a broken brain. I would think living in a broken car during Texas heat without being able to work would tell them that I am at the lowest point in my life and could use some help getting money they are holding and owed to me. BDF Law Firm employees don't seem to care about people's lives because it's not them in this situation. Maybe a complaint to the Texas Law Board will get them to take future peoples requests seriously. By the time a complaint gets to them thru Texas Law Board it won't help me. A single female living in a broken car has been a target to people that have no respect for human life. I was attacked during the night by 2 men that drug me out of my car window. I'm broke, hungry and BDF won't respond because they have been paid already and have money owed to me. It's not their lives being effected by them not doing their jobs as Trustee. I didn't ask to be assaulted. I didn't ask to have a broken brain but I have kept asking for help without people taking me or my life seriously. I would think people at BDF would want to help me because able to help myself because this money is mine from the auction of my home I was paying for almost 18 years. It's not a loan I'm asking for, it's not assistance I'm asking for. It's money they are holding that they are fully aware is owed to me. But they already know after being in foreclosure people are having financial troubles so we can't pay another law firm to get them to do their jobs as Trustee they were already paid their fees from the sale of my home. No hurry when they have already been paid and are holding money owed to me. Not their life, not their problem. As Trustee they have a responsibility to me as much as the mortgage company.

A private investigator name Brandon, called me and several family members about my deceased brother estate. The estate paperwork was filed so why did this law firm have a PI contact us. How extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to my deceased brother to contact family members about a matter that doesn't involve us directly. I highly recommend that you don't use this company.

Wish I could give zero stars. Called with a simple question... after being in a circle of their automated answering service I finally got Chris on the phone who was not only rude but also condescending and nasty. Even down to his tone of voice. When I asked what his name was he said I started the call with this is Chris. I can’t believe how rude this man was. As far as I’m concerned I don’t want to purchase any property from anyone who speaks and acts like that to not only a stranger but someone who would have been a customer. Btw I also asked for his supervisor...he said it was Michael Harris. Well, Michael Harris I hope this finds its way to you and you can go back and listen to this call because Mr. Chris is a terrible part of your business who is driving away potential clients.
