  My wife's 87 year old grandfather had a 20 minute consultation to see how much it would cost to have a simple will drawn up. Once he was was made aware of the price to have it done he chose shop around for a more affordable option due to being on a very limited fixed income. It was made clear to the attorney that he did not wish to have a follow up appointment where he would give them the information needed to make the will because the price was higher than he was expecting. A month later my wife got an email with a bill for around $800 that her grandfather owed. If you plan on charging an 87 year old man $800 for a 20 minute consultation to explain what he would need to do if he wanted to have a will drawn up, you should make them aware of that before they show up to the appointment.

  I wouldn't go through any other law firm! I originally had Jeff Thomas who was wonderful! I now have Amy Thomas who is just as wonderful, she put in a lot of time and effort onto making sure my custody case was handled appropriately. She is a wonderful person in general and I recommend her to anyone who asks me if I know any awesome attorneys!
