  Mark is a wonderful advocate for our elementary-aged son. After the school district refused to provide gifted services to our son, despite his extremely high scores in math, my mother recommended I contact Mark - as 20 years ago Mark helped my sister establish a GIEP in high school and enroll in college classes as a high school student. Mark has an in-depth understanding of education law, as well as an excellent understanding of statistical data, IQ testing, and state assessment results. I hold a Ph.D in social psychology and am an expert in statistics and higher education. As a psychologist, I was impressed with Mark’s ability to interpret my son’s scores and to apply statistical concepts to explain our son’s lack of growth in math and reading. Mark’s efforts resulted in the school district paying for an independent comprehensive IQ test for our son, which qualified him for the gifted program. Mark is highly responsive to our questions and concerns. When we call his office he immediately answers and makes time to discuss our concerns. He continuously follows up to provide reminders about scheduling meetings with the school district and to suggest recommendations for our son’s education. Because of Mark’s insistent efforts, my son received gifted services and grade acceleration in math and reading. Finally, Mark cares about the students he represents. Once we received word that the school district would accelerate our son, Mark asked how our son felt and was concerned about how the decision to accelerate affected his emotional well-being. Mark even followed up on our son’s first day of acceleration to hear about his experience. As a psychologist and as a parent, I highly recommend Mark’s services and guidance as parents advocate for their children in the educational system. You will not be disappointed.
