  5 stars are not enough for this firm. I would recommend anyone facing long term disability issues of any sort to contact them ASAP. The sooner the better. We contacted them after it looked as if we would fail an appeal we should have never begun without lawyers and they turned everything around. They are extremely patient and knowledgeable. The whole team is great. I cannot understate how and above and beyond they’ve gone.

  When I first contacted Mr. Capitan, I was in a desperate position. My work during the pandemic left me with severe PTSD, and I could not continue working. I thought my family would be ok with the employer's long term disability insurance, but I quickly found out the process was complex and rife with pitfalls. My stress tolerance was at zero, and I couldn't even complete a phone call with the insurance without breaking down and becoming suicidal. I found Mr. Capitan via the internet. He responded quickly. The main thing I remember from that first conversation was him telling me, "We can take care of it. We'll receive all of the communications. You won't have to talk to the insurance anymore." I felt like a ton of bricks were lifted off of me after that phone call. My family would have something to survive on as I found my way forward. Once Mr. Capitan was helping me, things were much smoother. The insurance continued to ask for medical records frequently, but Mr. Capitan took care of that. He removed the insurance obstacles, allowing me to focus on trying to heal. In every encounter with Mr. Capitan and his staff I found empathy, professionalism, confidence, and competence. *** If you are going to deal with a long term disability insurance company, you need a long term disability attorney. *** My recommendation is Joe Capitan.   I was lucky to find Joe Capitan to handle my Disability and SSD claims. He always took the time to let me know where I was in the claim process and made sure I understood what needed to be done. When I received a denial for my claim, Joe told me that he believed in my case and worked hard getting me approved. I know that I couldn’t have done it without him. I would definitely recommend Joe Capitan to handle your disability and SSD claims. He is very understanding and will work hard for you.

  Working with Capitan Law has been a great experience. Attorney Capitan is both knowledgeable and helpful, and the staff have always been friendly and efficient. Attorney Capitan listened to me when I had a problem with my long term disability. Throughout my time working with him, he has explained things clearly, including the fees and costs. In fact, he provided helpful information on what I should look for in a fee agreement, even if I chose to go with a different legal firm. From my initial consultation on, Attorney Capitan has answered all my questions and always been honest and forthright with me. He clearly laid out what to expect and so I have had no bad surprises while working with him.   Joe Capitan was My Lawyer for My Long Term Disability Case. Joe Capitan is the BEST. Joe always answered My questions via phone or emails. I live in Delaware...and the State of Delaware doesn't have Lawyers for Long Term Disability Cases...so I found Joe Capitan on the internet. When Joe called Me back and started to explain how He would handle My Ling Term Disability Case...I knew right then and there that Joe Capitan was the Lawyer for Me. Joe was true to His word. If Joe could do it...He did. If Joe felt that that something would cause issues in the case...Joe informed Me upfront.
