Navigating a child custody case is one of the most emotional and overwhelming experiences a person can face, and Stephen guided us through every step with compassion, clarity, and unwavering dedication. He took the time to truly understand our situation, explained our options in a way that made sense, and always made us feel heard and supported.   Divorce is no joy regardless of the circumstances, but working with Tom Sapinsley at Lampe Law made it tolerable. Tom is definitely who you want on your side... kind and clear TO you and fierce and bold FOR you. Additionally, he tapped into all the resources at Lampe who were the best of the best. Couldn't have asked for better representation.

  I retained Sloan Thacker at The Lampe Law Office to help with a dissolution and custody agreement involving my infant son. The firm came highly recommended by a trusted family friend (a retired family law attorney) who spoke very highly of Lynn Lampe. I initially called the office and asked to work with Lynn directly, but was referred to another attorney instead—possibly because my case wasn’t particularly complex or high-dollar. I was a bit surprised, but trusted the recommendation and moved forward. In our initial meeting, I made it clear I wasn’t fighting over money—just custody. Despite that, Sloan focused on strategies to take half of the house and my ex’s pension, even though I wasn’t asking for that. What I was clear about was wanting 50/50 custody and time with my son, which she initially said was totally reasonable and “standard.” But after months of delays, poor communication, and feeling strung along, she completely changed her tune at the mediation meeting. Suddenly, the “standard parenting order” (which heavily favors one parent) was the best I could do—even though I had no criminal record and my ex had documented mental health issues and prior suicide attempts. I felt completely blindsided and unsupported. Her shift in tone and suggestions seemed oddly sympathetic to my ex’s side, and after more delays and emotional distress, I ended up moving back in with my ex out of pure defeat and confusion. My mental health took a major hit. Eventually, I got a second opinion from another attorney, who immediately saw problems with how my case was handled and helped me understand that my situation was not as hopeless as Sloan made it seem. I reached out to Lynn Lampe herself to voice my concerns. She claimed to review the communications and offered to talk—but after I responded with multiple available times, she stopped replying. I also asked about closing my account and getting my trust balance refunded, including unspent filing fees. That was months ago, and I haven’t heard a word since. I’ve left voicemails, followed up by email, and still nothing. This whole experience has been emotionally draining, financially costly, and has wasted precious time I’ll never get back with my son. I would not recommend this law office to anyone seeking honest, responsive, and truly supportive legal help.
