  This firm and its policies are deplorable to families and specifically childrens best interests. To preface this I was forced to hire Elise Burkey by the family court as a GAL for my son, twice because no one could have her removed in a timely fashion in this corrupt system despite factually ignoring court orders for my son. Elise Burkey was the GAL for my son twice, in the 5 year process she upheld the decision by my son's mother removing him from the private school I paid for, in which I was following the court orders. In addition for 5 years straight my sons mother allowed him to miss over 20 days of school per year. All of this evidence was presented yet Burkey still ignores it. She upheld my son's mother having custody despite not following the visitation orders consistently for five years, all of the issues had been brought up as contempt yet no judge or magistrate would uphold the law. At this point my son is in a unaccredited online school failing the majority of his classes and I have seen him 15 times in thr last 3 years. I should have him half the time according to the judges orders. In no way did Elise Burkey do anything positive or even uphold the court orders in place for the best interest of my son. In another case she attempted to have custody of a father removed and force supervised visitation; he is a practicing special education teacher with absolutely no reason to ever have this done to him. She is part of the corrupt disgusting and ignorant practicing establishment for Trumbull County Ohio. Children will be better off now that she can no longer hurt them through her failed lense of the law.

  Elise Burkey was terrible. Nearly two months to file the initial paperwork for an estate. When questioned, the reasons was she fell behind. Months of sending a minimum of two emails before receiving a response on anything & when Elise responded to one of those emails with incorrect information she said "sorry I have over 70 open estates". Documents that were supposed to be filed over two weeks ago still hadn't been filed when I picked up my file today. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you want anything done in a timely manor or expect any communication.

  I want to thank Jim for everything he did for us over the last couple of years, we really appreciate everything he has done for our family. Jim handled the details of our parents' estates and his advice and steady support really meant a lot to us. Great customer service, highly recommend.
