  I had an outstanding experience working with John Powers. From the very beginning, he showed exceptional expertise in criminal defense and guided me through the expungement process of an initial (wrongful) DV charge, ultimately helping me achieve a not guilty verdict that he also helped me fully expunge with fully dropped charges. My case was interesting and not the easiest from the get go and he made the entire process seem easy because of how experienced and knowledgeable he is. He is incredibly kind, compassionate, and treats each client as an autonomous individual, never just a case number. I never felt uncared for, rushed or like my case didn’t matter. He is confident and he delivers. His responsiveness is great—he always got back to me quickly, answered every question with patience, and made himself available whenever I needed support. His fees were very reasonable, especially considering the high level of dedication and professionalism he brings. He exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process and I felt cared for which lessened my anxiety through it all. Whether it was a long phone call going over all of my questions/concerns, going through receipts of evidence I had for my case or quick action on his part to make things smooth sailings, he really does care about his clients and takes time to know their stories. He was able to present my case well to the Prosecuted and Judge in a matter where I felt heard and it made me feel like I was finally understood. As a result, the Prosecutor/Judge ruled in the way that we were hoping for. He genuinely cares about his clients which I didn’t believe was possible in his line of work. He proved that wrong. He is extremely knowledgeable, always thoroughly prepared, and someone you can truly trust. Throughout the entire process, he made me feel calm and confident, even when the situation felt impossible and when I felt defeated. He was confident that he could make this work in my favor and he did. My case was hard and he won it. I couldn’t be more thankful. I am beyond grateful for everything he has done.
