  DISAPPOINTING and underwhelming experience with Joe Nigh and Jessica Rowland at The Nigh Law Group. DO NOT Waste all the money you will be billed at this law firm!! I terminated my agreement with Joe Nigh to hire Jessica G. King at the King Law Group to finish my contentious divorce negotiations and to avoid the astronomical cost of a trial. I was referred to Joe by a friend who bragged about his legal acumen and performance years ago as a defense attorney. I met with him for a fee I was quoted but soon changed right before our meeting and was increased by $100. That was the first flag I ignored. Joe was personable during the consult, super chatty as you pay the hourly rate, but seemed to be willing to help me and convincing enough for me to move forward with confidence that he'd be my advocate. Soon after paying the deposit, I am shifted to Jessica Rowland who is in no way comparable to Joe for whom I came to the firm to work with and was prepared to pay for. Numerous concerns about Jessica's performance and request to work directly with Joe fell on deaf ears and if responded to were explained away as Jessica has a cheaper rate and Joe is still involved. Mediation was a waste of money as Jessica was not prepared nor did she offer any direction nor suggestions as one expects from their counsel. Jessica was detached and nonchalant the entire case, even quoting the fact that she gets paid a salary and not hourly as I am being billed. First court hearing, I demanded Joe be there and for what...he did nothing but let Jessica lead. After court, Joe's attempt at negotiating with the other side ended with him telling me, "you are stubborn aren't you?" WHAT!?! Whose attorney says that??? At that moment he was FIRED. I just needed to find another attorney first which is what I did. I requested in writing that Joe pause all work on my case so that he could no longer bill me every week for reviewing/discussing my case file but with no evidence of support or direction with my case week after week. He even continued to bill me after my request which is an ethical violation. Joe is notorious for filing frivolous motions in your case in order to bill you and my ex-husband's attorney had him warn me of that early in the case!! I had to specifically tell Joe not to file ANYTHING without my approval first. I believe this to be the reason he was so standoffish on my case thereafter. Finally, when Joe had to refund my entire deposit, his office withheld money for billing that I requested in writing be stopped! I had to contact him to challenge the billing he continued on my case. He refunded some of it but still kept money. I had to challenge further after 2nd check was cut. I then received a 3rd check to make my refund almost whole!! I cannot even speak to Joe's legal expertise because he was checked out and very absent on my case. He only wanted the money which is exactly what he said he did not want to take all of in our first consult. Believe what a person tells you when they "don't" want to do something in the beginning because that is exactly what they want to do. I paid astronomically for this firm to push paperwork period, NO FIGHT, NO STRATEGY - just surrender... and pay Joe. RUN!!

  Nigh Law Group is a tremendous firm that cares about their clients. Most people need their help during very difficult times in their lives. Everyone in this group treated me with high respect and treated me as though I was family. I can't begin to say enough about Courtney and her professionalism and caring personality. She helped keep me focused at times I felt like quitting. Her assistant Lynn was top notch. I felt like they were all fighting for me. I am 100% satisfied with choosing this Law group. They fought to get me the best outcome and in the end they did! I highly recommend them to anyone searching for a Law Firm.

  I was once you, searching the interweb reading review after review on attorneys. I spoke to countless top avvo rated custody attorneys, and a few of them also recommended Joe Nigh when they heard the complexities of my multi state missing son. As a father who put being a father above anything else in my life choosing the right representation was crucial. I knew the truth and I needed someone to believe in me and my case. A few lawyers wouldn't even let me talk before cutting me off and telling me I had no chance. Then I made the call and talked to Joe Nigh. I knew in one phone call that he cared. Which was notch 1 on his belt. He immediately formulated a plan to find my son, and he did just that. Notch 2. After that he and his office listened to me, and believed me amist a suffocating amout of smoke about me. Notch 3 They researched, and prepared for what turned into an abnormally long 24 day court case. They knew every detail inside and out. He was a master in the court room. Nothing threw him. There was not a Question asked in that hearing by anyone that he didn't already know the answer too. Notch 4 They won my case and I am currently my son's sole custodian. Notch 5. He was assisted by his equally impressive co counsel Courtney Zollars. She was my light and my calming voice during that terrible time. I swear to you, if you are a good parent who truly wants the best for your children... Do not waste your time calling anyone else! They were my saving grace.
