I worked with David, Kaitlyn and Jennifer for my disability case and each one of them were so kind to me and my husband. They always answered all of the questions I had and didn't make me feel like a bother. They made me feel like they genuinely cared about me and it helped my anxiety a lot through the process. David is a wonderful lawyer and I cannot recommend him and his staff enough. In the courtroom David came prepared and I could tell he really went through my case and medical history. He didn't sugar coat anything and told me everything how it was and I appreciated the transparency. Thank you, to the whole team, for treating me with kindness and respect. Even when I got a bit too anxious at times. You are all fantastic at what you do and if I hear anyone needing to go through this process like me, I will recommend they go to you!

Why do I need an attorney representative?
Having an attorney can improve your chances at a successful claim. An experienced disability attorney can provide valuable guidance throughout the administrative process.
Once you apply, the SSA will ask you to complete several different detailed forms. Having an attorney assist you in filling out these forms can really make a difference down the line.
The SSA will also want to send you out for a physical exam and/or a psychological evaluation by one of their “consultative examiners." Your attorney would help you prepare for those evaluations.
How do I choose an attorney representative?
Your choice of your attorney representative is one of the most important decisions you can make in pursuing a disability claim. Having an experienced disability attorney with a proven track record can make all the difference. Here are some things to consider:
Will the attorney prepare you in person well in advance of any hearing?
Will the attorney and/or his staff agree to meet with you as necessary throughout the administrative process?
Does the attorney or the attorney’s staff return your calls?
Will they meet with you in person as soon as your claim is filed and explain to you in comfortable terms the disability process, how to develop your claim, what to expect, etc.

Am I entitled to my late spouse's Social Security Benefits?
Yes! There are Social Security Survivor Benefits are financial benefits provided to the surviving spouse or eligible family members of a deceased Social Security beneficiary. The surviving spouse is typically eligible for survivor benefits if the deceased spouse had earned enough Social Security credits.
How much can a surviving spouse receive in survivor benefits?
If the surviving spouse is of full retirement age (currently 66 or older), they can receive 100x% of the late spouse's Social Security benefits. However, if the deceased spouse claimed benefits before reaching full retirement age, the amount may be reduced.
How long does the legal process take?
The process time varies depending on when you get granted. After your initial application, it takes about 3 months on average to get a decision. If you are denied, the reconsideration may take another 2 months. If you are denied on reconsideration, you may have to wait about a year to get a hearing date in front of a judge.
How will my claim be evaluated?
When evaluating your claim, the Social Security Administration follows a sequential process. They first check if you're engaged in substantial gainful activity, assessing whether you earn at least $1220 a month. If not, they move on to whether your impairments are likely to last more than 12 months or result in death.
Next, they consider if your impairments meet or equal the severity of those in their List of Impairments. If not, they assess if your impairments prevent you from performing any occupations you've done in the last 15 years. If yes, the final question examines if there are other jobs in the national economy you could sustainably perform, considering factors like your age, education, past work, and your capability despite health limitations. This last question determines the outcome of your claim.
