I waited a year to get answer from someone and the staff that receives the paperwork were very helpful but could not tell me much about the status of my case. They said there was a good chance that I would get approved which is why they accepted my case in the first place. It wasn’t until 30 days before my hearing and (at this point had already been 2 years), my attorney said that my case did not look great because of my age and tried to convince me to drop my case. I said that I still wanted to proceed. She showed up to my hearing but did not really fight my case. It was almost as if I represented myself, which is definitely the most awful feeling. Her name started with an L, I won’t say for confidentiality reasons but you don’t know who your attorney will be until 30 days before the hearing. That was two years that I wish I could get back by choosing another resource of legal help. Don’t make the same mistake.
