Mr Bates's assistant is incredibly rude and condescending when asking the most basic questions. Its obvious she does NOT want to be bothered in any way. Unfortunately, you have to speak to her in order to have any contact with Mr. Bates. I could not believe how rude she was from the moment she picked up the phone. Mr Bates himself I would rate a "fair." Unfortunately, I do not live in the area and randomly got his information from NM board of law to help with my parents estate. I would not recommend this group and would highly suggest looking elsewhere - there has to be easier people to deal with in the area.

When an error was discovered in work he had completed and been paid for, attorney Bates was unwilling to fix his mistake opting to tell us to get another attorney. Beware of any attorney who will not fix his errors and hires staff who are uninterested in even hearing the issues.
