- LJLorraine JamesJun 23, 20253.0I hired Albert Acquaviva Attorney to represent my grandson and he charged me $7500. I texted callled and sent him the court letter when court was. I asked him numerous times to go consult with my grandson who is incarcerated in Bergen County Jail he stated it was not necessary. I called Paterson Court because they had a public defender listed as his attorney. I called Acquaviva’s office and him and sent texts to make sure he filed the papers to represent him. He assured me he did. After months my grandson had a court date today and Attorney Acquaviva didn’t show up. I want my $7500. returned and will be filing a complaint with the bar association. I’m a 76 years old woman on Social Security and he’s scamming us. A public defender represented my grandson last minute because he felt sorry for my grandson. Beware don’t ever hire this firm. Attorney Acquaviva called and said he was late for court and spoke on behalf of my grandsons case. Hopefully things go better.
