- AAAlexSep 6, 20251.0Horrible. John Carter, Trey Carter, (whoever it is) is awful at handling DWIs. If he is assigned as a public defender, I would immediately apply for a different one. Barely any communication unless you call him yourself. Also good luck trying to ask to file a form through him as he will tell you, “I honestly don’t know how to do it” but will then proceed to tell you step-by-step on how to do it. Then requests the court to charge me money for his services after conviction of a ridiculous amount when he didn’t even do a damn thing except read some stuff to me over the phone that I already knew and show up to court on my behalf. Absolutely god awful representation and would not recommend to anyone.
