I do not have personal experience with the attorney, but if you have to deal with Elaine after hiring Bernard I would highly recommend against it. I spoke to her on the phone for the first time about a consultation and everything seemed just fine. But then she called back to basically confront me about not being honest with her. She churlishly said she asked me "how many charges were filed against you", but unfortunately her recollection is clearly not dependable. What she actually asked me was "what are you charged with?" I just responded with my first charge, and figured during my consultation I would discuss everything else as well and how it is related. Apparently that was a horrific mistake, and Elaine definitely needed to condescendingly explain that to me. I simply tried to explain what my thought process was, but then I was not allowed to complete a sentence without her interrupting saying "she does not bicker with clients". But then of course preceded to bicker over it before I finally just gave up and said "Never mind. This was clearly a mistake" and had to hang up because she just would not stop. Just a heads up everyone, avoid her if you can. Good luck.
