- MEMark EricksonMar 4, 20191.0I have a story about a disaster narrowly averted... no thanks to this law firm. My girlfriend and I had a consult about applying for a green card. We mentioned our plans to travel outside of the country, both before and after our wedding. She never mentioned that entering the country on a student visa after marriage is considered visa fraud. This would have been a devastating mistake that could easily have prevented us from getting a green card. It seems to me that a good immigration attorney might mention this very important fact, or the fact that if you get married within 90 days of (re)entering the US, that can also jeopardize your green card (another critical mistake we revealed we had plans to make). Very disappointing... she was very nice, but I'd seek advice elsewhere.
