Calls go unreturned, emails unanswered, and his assistant is left making empty promises to “get back to you.” This lack of responsiveness is frustrating and unprofessional. Beyond that, he seems to pick and choose how much effort he puts in based on his personal feelings toward a client. A defense attorney should fight for *everyone* equally, not just the people he happens to like. In court, he won’t stand up for his clients, even when judges overstep their bounds, and if you try to advocate for yourself by presenting legal research, he still won’t engage. The justice system is already stacked against many defendants—having an attorney who won’t fight only makes it worse. If Mr. Watts wants to be effective in his role, he needs to improve communication, stand up for his clients, and remember that *everyone* deserves a fair defense. Otherwise, he’s doing more harm than good.
