  Kathleen Smith represented me during my divorce. Based on my experience, I would not recommend her. I did not feel adequately protected, prepared, or guided through the process, and I walked away feeling like major issues were not handled with the level of care and strategy I needed. Divorce and custody matters are stressful enough without feeling like your own attorney is not fully prepared or advocating effectively. I ultimately felt disappointed, unsupported, and like I was left dealing with the consequences long after the case moved forward. This review is based only on my personal experience, but if I could go back, I would have chosen different representation.

  Our experience with Kathleen Smith was outstanding. She approaches her work with thoughtfulness and care, taking the time to fully understand every detail so she can make sound, strategic decisions on your behalf. We developed deep trust in her guidance. There were times when her advice wasn’t what we initially wanted to hear, but we trusted her judgement and she was consistently right in her assessments. She reassured us to stay the course and trust that the truth would prevail - and it did. Her expertise and steady approach made a significant difference in our case While the opposing side went through three different attorneys, likely due to repeated unsuccessful motions, Kathleen remained focused effective, and calm, in a very contentious case, doing what she does best by representing her clients with exceptional skill, insight, and professionalism. We truly could not have asked for better representation.

  It’s emotional writing this review because it means what we’ve been fiercely fighting for for the last year and half has come to a close. Genuinely, I felt a sense of security and protection throughout this whole process with Mr. Gauthier. It’s a strange feeling to think it’s all behind me now. Anyhow, I only have positive things to note about Mr. Gauthier and the entire team at Gauthier Family Law. I truly appreciate the professionalism and compassion of the paralegal staff – Katherine and Polly were both a delight to work with and get to know over the course of my case. Attorney Reham always had my best interest in mind, and I was consistently impressed with her timely replies to emails and court document submissions. Nothing ever sat idle. And Mr. Gauthier, I can’t thank enough for representing me. This was without a doubt the most stressful period of my life, and yet I was still able to find moments of levity and humor with Mr. Gauthier’s help. I bet the opposing counsel/team wasn’t laughing like we were! I felt like I had found a friend in Mr. Gauthier. In moments when I thought I was going to go pull out my hair or ascend into another dimension, Mr. Gauthier brought me back to earth and I appreciate so much that he was always accessible via text or phone call. This was a high conflict case and only took as long as it did because the opposing party and I disagreed on just about everything. I felt confident, though, through it all. My preference for meetings or appointments is always going to be in-person (I’m a bit old school). Whether meeting with Mr. Gauthier or Katherine, my preference was honored even with a little baby in tow. By the time my baby was super active and crawling, I felt a little iffy bringing her because of the possible distraction, but I was still welcomed and Mr. Gauthier even turned on an episode of Bluey to entertain her. The office atmosphere was always calm and collected, and Polly/Katherine always had something positive to say about the attorneys they work with (sometimes I’d just stop by because I had a question on form I had to fill out). And I have to say that I know and felt the remarks were genuine and not just something they were just saying to make conversation. It’s bittersweet! Bitter that I feel like I don’t have a veil of protection anymore (haha it’s scary going out into the world without an attorney anymore with the kind of ex I have). Sweet that the INTENSE high conflict case is over and I can just focus on enjoying my time with my precious, beloved baby. Thank you, sincerely, to everyone that helped me with my parentage case. I hope that my friends, family, and coworkers never have to use the services of a family law attorney, but if they ever find themselves in a situation where they must, I will absolutely advise them to use Gauthier Family Law.

  Kathleen Smith - the definition of under promising and overdelivering. handled my case perfectly. Very strategic while still holding integrity, focuses on what matters most, will keep you grounded privately while publicly advocating for you in court, doesn’t get caught up in the nasty dramatics and drama of divorce cases. Mike, Raheem, Polly, Katherine - thank you. Paralegals always responded promptly and communicated effectively. Mike even took time to speak with me from time to time and it wasn’t his case. Hes great. Overall professional, every i dotted and t crossed. Just a pleasure to work with.

  Highly recommend using Gauthier Family Law! Mike was professional, sympathetic, quick to return emails and even offers to text. He was able to mediate our agreement and process the legal documentation needed. We have a small child and everything from now until college was addressed in our parenting plan. If you have a fairly amicable separation, this was quick! Start to finish - 3 months, Done and Done! Call Mike at Gauthier Family Law and he will work with you through any scenario.
