  I can’t say enough good things about John. He’s knowledgeable, driven, and genuinely cares about his clients. I’ve worked with him on a few deals now. He always takes the time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend working with him if you’re in the Chicagoland area. John will take great care of you.

  I have been a client of Mr. Ferrentino's now for a few years. I have a lot of good things to say about John and Michael's firm, but will keep it short. If you're in need of good legal counsel for a very fair price, then look no further. Me and my wife recently got our first trust done together at John's office and as always, he made what originally seemed to be an incredibly time consuming and daunting legal process go by quickly and smoothly. John is always there to help me with my real estate investment needs, and my personal matters as well. is super fair about pricing and is a very down to earth guy with all of his clients. I highly recommend him for anything personal, real estate, or otherwise!!

  I have been working closely with Ferrentino, Donis & Associates for the past two years as a real estate broker, and I can confidently say I could not recommend any people, business, or firm more than these two. They are truly the peak echelon of work ethic, professionalism, and intelligence. When I first entered the business, I didn’t fully understand all the moving parts of real estate transactions. Having them as my representatives not only gave me confidence on every deal but genuinely helped scale my business.   Michael Donis was the attorney used for a property I purchased in mid-November 2025, and this was one of the worst professional experiences I’ve had. While the realtor bears significant responsibility, Mr. Donis’s handling of critical matters fell far below an acceptable standard. The closing proceeded without providing keys to the property, which both Mr. Donis and the realtor treated as normal. No written arrangement was made, leaving me without access for weeks. As a first-time homeowner, I relied on their guidance. After closing, I received the Illinois Residential Real Property Disclosure Report—meant to be provided before contract execution—revealing potential plumbing issues involving tree roots. I could not investigate these issues promptly because I still had no keys, resulting in an $800 inspection once limited access was obtained. I was told the seller would reimburse this cost, which has not happened. During a cold spell, a tenant’s furnace failed, and I again lacked access to the utility room. On Mr. Donis’s advice, I hired a locksmith at a cost of about $500, with assurances of reimbursement that never came. I later learned that a tenant was also delinquent on rent despite being told at closing that all tenants were current. Mr. Donis stated he would send a 5-day notice and file an eviction, but he failed to do so. After weeks of no responses to emails, calls, or voicemails, I contacted eviction attorneys who confirmed no eviction had been filed and that the notice Mr. Donis claimed to send was invalid. They resolved the matter in under a week. Overall, Mr. Donis’s lack of follow-through, poor communication, and failure to protect my interests caused unnecessary expense and stress. I strongly advise others to avoid this level of unprofessional representation.
