- TJTJ JonesJun 20, 20211.0I hired Ben Herren to represent me on a completely fabricated domestic abuse case my ex girlfriend was trying to use to screw with my child custody case. After showing Ben the evidence that I, in fact was the victim of domestic abuse and not the other way around, Ben spent $4000 of my hard earned dollars to go round and round with the judge and DA and got absolutely no where except stuck in the exact same situation only $4000 lighter in the pocket. Maui courts are the absolute most corrupt I’ve come across ever in my life, serious reform is needed there. My advice, don’t waste your money on retaining an expensive attorney unless it’s Cosby level; represent yourself, find unbundled legal services, most importantly DONT WAVE TIME, that just gives the DA an unlimited budget AND an unlimited time clock to screw with your life. That being said; criminal/family law is a corrupt money grab and Ben Herren is NOT the guy to get it done at least not on the criminal side of things.
